My name is Amanda Trout! I am a hair color and highlight specialist serving the Algonquin, Lake in the Hills, Huntley, Crystal Lake and surrounding communities!

As a mom, I know how demanding the mental load can be and the last thing anyone has time for is figuring out what to do with your hair…luckily for my guests,  many of them say I have an in-ate ability to just “know” what their hair needs- reducing the stress and decision making for them, and amping up the creativity for me!

I have been a licensed stylist for 15 years, but my passion for hair started when I was a young girl playing with Barbies. In 2015 I became an Artistic Educator for Matrix Professional Haircare. The skills I have acquired through my partnership with them has not only filled my cup creatively but also elevated my skills behind the chair.

While most stylists offer great cuts and color, I take my role as your stylist differently. My goal is to keep your hair fresh and unique through every season of life. Most of my guests are never bored because I am always finding ways to change up their color.

When Im not behind the chair, you can usually find me spending time with my family and friends. I love a good book to read, watching Bravo, live shows & music and trying new restaurants & breweries! Both inside the salon and out, I am always up to try new things! While I don’t get to travel as much as I used to, going new places for work and pleasure is something i absolutely love! I even started my career doing hair onboard a Disney Cruise Ship!
